Doors + camping open
Check-in sits at the entrance. From there you walk into the camping area, tuck your car between the trees and pitch your tent while there is still enough light to see the knots you are tying.

Yes, it exists. It is called La Selva del Bajo, and it is not the thing your search turned up.
Whatever you searched probably handed you old photos and reviews of a party that no longer happens. Let us get that out of the way first: Bamboo Bass was a bass festival in Jacó and it has not run in recent years. We are not its continuation, we inherited nothing from that organization, and we have no tie to whoever ran it. What follows on this page was built separately, from zero.
One night outdoors near Jacó, with Pool and Main stages used in sequence and camping among the trees around it. Keep dry clothes, water and earplugs in your camping gear; follow the designated parking directions. There is art near the dance floor, marked restrooms and a check-in table at the entrance.
What plays? Dubstep and experimental bass, full stop. We do not drop in a block of something else at midnight to give ears a rest, because nobody drove out here for a rest. That call was locked in long before we talked to the first artist.
Doors and camping open at 12 pm. Music starts at 12 pm and ends at 3 am the next morning. This is the New Year's edition, and it is small on purpose. 500 people is the ceiling the crew can handle well today, and we would rather nail that size than rush a bigger one.

Tents already up, art installed around the dance floor, everyone figuring out where the restrooms landed. This is a calm hour before the overnight Main Stage, and it is worth spending on getting your patch of ground squared away.
Two stages in sequence: Pool, then the Main Stage, a 360° laser experience with lasers all around you. Find The Park at Ocean Ranch on the venue page.
Official music ends at 3 am. Campers can sleep and stay until 11 am on January 2.
The date is 31 December 2026, doors and camping open at 12 pm, and official music ends at 3 am on 2 January. Tickets are on sale now. Choose your night and buy tickets for La Selva del Bajo at The Park at Ocean Ranch.
Two stages, one continuous bass journey.
Jacó sits on the Puntarenas coast and has spent decades taking in people from elsewhere: ticos who came for the surf and stayed, foreigners who did the same, people who drive down from the Central Valley most weekends. That mix explains a good chunk of why bass caught on in this stretch of coast and not somewhere else.
Then there is the land itself. The Park at Ocean Ranch has tall trees and real shade, which is exactly what makes camping near the stages possible without the afternoon turning into a punishment. The venue is exactly 13 minutes from Jacó; final arrival, parking, and check-in instructions will be shared before the event.
If you are driving in, getting there covers the route. If what you care about is what the rest of town is doing that same night, New Year's in Jacó lays both out side by side.
No. Bamboo Bass was a bass festival in Jacó and it has not run in recent years, and that is where the resemblance ends. We share a region and nothing else: no organization, no crew, no rights, no continuity of any kind.
500 people, which is what the crew can produce well right now. At that number the floor fills up without anyone having to push to see something.
Two stages are used one after another: Pool from 12 to 6 pm, then the Main Stage, a 360° laser experience, from 6 pm to 3 am.
Because camping here is not an add-on bolted onto the party. The official program ends at 3 am, after the Pool and Main stage blocks. Campers can rest and stay until 11 am on January 2.
To see where the idea that there is an audience for this in the country actually comes from, check dubstep in Costa Rica, with the live poll from people already signed up. If you play, produce or do visuals, the open call is still taking submissions. And if you would rather just ask, WhatsApp us at +1 518 351 6952 or hit Instagram at @laselvadelbajo.
