You arrive and check in
Doors and camping open at 12 pm. Check-in sits at the entrance: you identify yourself there, then drive in slowly toward the camping blocks.

What does it actually feel like to spend New Year’s moving through two stages, camping, and trees at The Park at Ocean Ranch? That is the New Year's night at La Selva del Bajo, outdoors near Jacó. Here it is, told the way it happens. If you need a place to camp in Jacó on another date, that guide compares what the town has.
Doors and camping open at 12 pm. Check-in sits at the entrance: you identify yourself there, then drive in slowly toward the camping blocks.
Follow the parking and campsite directions for your pass. Bring a tent and set it up while there is still light. The half hour you spend now saves you a fight in the dark later on.
The bass starts and everybody walks toward the same point. The stage sits in the middle, so you can duck back to the tent for a hoodie between tracks and come back without missing a thing. The art beside the dance floor reads differently now than it did at five in the afternoon.
At some point your body makes the call for you. You lie down with earplugs in, because the volume does not drop out of politeness for anyone, and you feel the bass land through the fabric like a pulse. Whoever stays up watches the sky get lighter with nobody announcing it.
Campers stay until 11 am on January 2. Rest, pack carefully, and head out by 11 am.
A current festival layout is not available. See the venue location on Google Maps to find The Park at Ocean Ranch.
Let us say it straight: this is not a quiet campsite. The sound does not drop because somebody got tired, and anyone lying down early does it with earplugs in. Bring good ones and a spare pair to lend out, because somebody always forgot theirs.
Pick your spot based on how you actually sleep. Further from the stage means better rest and more walking; closer flips that trade. If you are coming with people, settle it together before the gear comes out, because moving a pitched tent at two in the morning makes nobody happy.
Put a sleeping pad or a mat between you and the ground. It weighs almost nothing and changes the night more than any expensive sleeping bag: hot by day, damp everywhere by the early hours, and away from the stage the light runs out fast. A headlamp is not an accessory, it is part of the kit.
Camping solo works, and some people prefer it that way. But gear weighs less split four ways, somebody holds your spot while you park, and there is always a driver left for the way home.
The invites page hands you your own link and a named QR card. Every person who signs up through it adds two points to your spot on the ambassador leaderboard, and the top tiers unlock food and drink credit plus a VIP upgrade, in limited numbers.
If putting in work before or after the bass is more your speed, that goes through volunteering. Tickets are on sale now. Choose your night and buy tickets for La Selva del Bajo at The Park at Ocean Ranch.
The stage here does not go quiet because you went to bed, and that is the entire deal with this campsite.
500 people, and it will sell out. The crew produces gatherings that size and no bigger, so the ground never feels like a fairground parking lot. The real headcount for the New Year's edition comes with the announcement.
The map marks wooded camping, so there are trees. How much shade you personally get depends on where you set up and how the final layout lands on the real ground. That gets confirmed with the arrival instructions.
Doors and camping open at 12 pm on 31 December, and the official music program runs from 12 pm to 3 am. Any exception gets written into the arrival instructions, not here. Coming from far away, check getting there and work your departure backward from that.
We do not promise security or a coat check, so pack with that in mind: valuables on you or locked in the car, and only things you could live without left in the tent. A small gathering full of familiar faces helps, but it is not insurance.
If you can already picture yourself out there, gear is the next thing to sort. What to bring holds the list worth checking before you shut the car, and if you want the whole night from a different angle, New Year's Eve in Jacó tells it that way.
